On May 16, 2026, Hiroshi Yagi of the Adult Diaper Information Center Japan delivered a speech at the “5.19 IBD Day 2026 POOP Caravan” held at the TKP Kokura Station Front Conference Center in Kitakyushu.

In the lecture, “Considering the Use of Pads for Loose Stool: On the Frontline,” I spoke about the characteristics and usage methods of soft stool pads for people with IBD (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis), as well as their family members, caregivers, and medical, care, and welfare professionals.

I also took part in a panel discussion on the question, ‘What would make society easier to live in for people with IBD who face challenges with toileting?’

I would like to thank all the related individuals who gave us the opportunity to hold the lecture, and everyone who participated.
