On February 7, 2025, we held an online event in preparation for the “O-MU-TSU WORLD EXPO” to be held at Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025.
The theme was ‘Virtual × accessibility × diapers: considering the future of accessibility.’
Kumiko Kushiyama of Tokyo Metropolitan University, Yuriko Oda of the NPO organization Weelog as representative director, and Hiroshi Yagi, representative of our company, gave speeches.
We discussed the future in which more people can participate in outings, events, and social activities regardless of their physical condition from three perspectives: virtual technology, barrier-free environments, and diapers.
I also introduced the initiatives aimed at the O-MU-TSU WORLD EXPO and the relationship between diapers and accessibility. It was an opportunity to share the importance of supporting a person’s activities and social participation by not giving up on their behavior or participation due to the use of diapers, and by ensuring their environment and information, as well as equipment, are appropriate.
Hiroshi Yagi, representative of our company, was a vice representative director of the Japan Welfare Medical Fashion Association and a manager of the Adult Diaper Information Center Japan.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all those who gave a presentation and to all those who participated.
